I am aware that there has been a serious lack of content over the last few months, which is unfortunate because the usage stats for the site had reached an all time high, and are now starting to go down as a result.
I have a few ideas in the works that I hope you will find both entertaining and informative. I am an avid reader of magazines such as Retro Gamer and GamesTM and they manage to deliver articles that both educate me about games that I have never heard of and teach me things I didn't know about titles that I have played to death already, and I hope to emulate some of their style here.
One of the major projects I am working on right now is 100 Games of the Last Generation that you should play today. What I hope to do is take 25 games from each of the Dreamcast, Gamecube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox that I feel are still worth taking a break from the likes of GTA IV or Call of Duty 4 to sit down and play. Likewise I plan to write a similar article - 50 Gameboy Advance games that you should play on your Nintendo DS. I haven't quite decided how to present these articles yet - one game a day, or maybe five in one go, and I'm still working out exactly which games to cover, but you should see something soon.
Aside from these long term projects you will start seeing the retro and modern reviews return soon, including my take on Call of Duty 4, Burnout Paradise, Lost Odyssey and classics like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Snatcher and more pinball reviews. I am especially excited to be able to play and review the Lord of the Rings pinball table from Stern, as my brother has just bought one on ebay!
So keep checking back and don't forget to sign up to my Feedblitz newsletter if you want to receive articles in your inbox!
